Matte is the finish for brands that want a calm, understated look. Instead of the shine of gloss, a matte lamination gives the box a smooth, flat surface that does not reflect light. Matte lamination is a thin film applied over the printed board in a separate finishing step. It gives a soft, non-reflective surface and a quieter look than gloss.
