An embossed box has a design, often a logo or pattern, pressed into the board to create a raised, three-dimensional texture, rather than relying on print alone. This finishing technique adds a tactile quality that customers notice by touch as well as sight, particularly on a plain or minimally printed box.
Where foil stamping and print add visual detail, embossing adds physical texture, which reads as considered and premium in a way flat print cannot replicate. It works particularly well on minimal, single-colour designs where the raised detail becomes the main visual interest.
