A muffin box is a food-safe carton built with enough internal height to clear a muffin's characteristic domed top, avoiding the crushing that happens when a lid sits too close to the bake. It is a similar challenge to cupcake packaging, but usually needs slightly more clearance given the larger, less delicate dome.
